I am a born and raised Duluthian and last week I was chatting with a tourist who mentioned they just visited an amazing candy shop up the North Shore.  Honestly, I had never heard of it!  I googled candy stores up that way and immediately came across Great! Lakes Candy Kitchen with their truckload of five star reviews.  We happened to be making a trip up to Spokengear a few days later, so we took the Scenic Highway to swing by this sweet shop gem.  Great! Lakes Candy Kitchen is a third generation candy shop!  Experience and expertise shows in their treats.  I tried, ahem, a few things while we were there.  The fudge!  The caramel!  The truffles!  This is quality candy WORTH indulging in.  My favorite two things I tried were the Chai Truffle and the Cashew Cluster.  However, there are several creations I didn't get to and I'm sure there is much more that I would love.  This was a really fun spot to take the kids.  It is totally worth visiting next time you drive up the North Shore!
