Lake Superior Kitchen developed out of a love of healthy, creative food. One of my husband’s first jobs in Duluth was at the Whole Foods Coop. The Coop would give nearly expired food to employees for free, so he would often come home with a random assortment of food. This led me on a journey of learning about the cooking process as a whole so that I could make a great meal out of whatever food we had that day.  I highly value homemade food. The recipes I make are most often full of nutritious, whole (and usually very colorful!) ingredients.
