Our basement freezer is packed with jars of applesauce from last fall. I usually start out the year not wanting to rush through them and then realize as summer is approaching that we better start eating applesauce quick before fall rolls around again! Applesauce is one of those treats that our kids could eat nonstop. I love making a few little additions to turn it into a more filling, nutritious snack for everyone. Hemp seeds are one of my favorite things to add to food. They pack a lot of protein, great Omega 3, 6, & 9 fatty acids, all 9 essential amino acids, trace minerals, fiber, and more! Plus, they are so easy to sprinkle on a variety of dishes!

- 1 cup applesauce, unsweetened
- 1 heaping tablespoon coconut cream
- 1/4 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t hemp seeds
- Place applesauce in microwave safe bowl and scoop coconut cream on top, microwave until warm, about 30 seconds
- sprinkle on cinnamon and hemp seeds
